Expanding Frontiers Capital Readiness Events
Sponsored by SBA

Location: Virtual

When: Fall 2026

The Expanding Frontiers Capital Readiness Series, sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), is a fall workshop series designed to help entrepreneurs and investors build clearer, more effective capital conversations.

The SBA is a federal agency that supports small businesses through resources, programs, and access to capital. Open to participants from anywhere, Expanding Frontiers serves as the connector—welcoming founders and supporters from inside and outside South Texas into the region’s growing tech and innovation network. The series begins with virtual workshops focused on capital readiness and concludes with a mixer that brings both groups together to turn learning into real connections and follow-up.

What can Entrepreneurs expect?

For entrepreneurs, this series focuses on what it actually means to be capital-ready. Through virtual workshops, founders will learn how investors think, what signals matter most, and how to communicate their ideas more clearly and confidently. The goal is to reduce guesswork, avoid common mistakes, and help founders prepare for meaningful conversations—whether they are raising now or planning ahead. The series ends with a mixer where entrepreneurs can connect with investors and supporters in a welcoming, credible environment designed to make introductions easier and follow-up more natural.

What can Investors and Supporters expect?

For investors and supporters, the SBA Capital Readiness Series offers a chance to engage more effectively with early-stage entrepreneurs. The virtual workshop provides a shared lens for evaluating readiness and understanding how to support founders in ways that create real progress. The final mixer brings investors and entrepreneurs together after the learning phase, creating space for more focused conversations and potential next steps. Whether you invest, mentor, sponsor, or simply want to stay connected to innovation in South Texas and beyond, this series is designed to foster clearer signals, stronger relationships, and long-term ecosystem impact.
