Space Entrepreneur
Summer Academy (SESA)

The Space Entrepreneur Summer Academy (SESA) is a three-week immersive program for high school students, blending space science and entrepreneurship. Hosted in Brownsville, TX, SESA empowers students through hands-on projects, expert mentorship, and real-world challenges in the space industry.

SPACE SETTLEMENT
DESIGN TOURNAMENT(SSDT)

SSDT is a 4-day virtual event designed to inspire high school students to create innovative solutions and designs for future space colonies that could be realized within their lifetime. Students work in teams to ideate, design, and pitch their proposals to a panel of industry experts. This industry simulation provides students with hands-on experience in the space industry. It is the only sanctioned tournament of its kind in South Texas.

Accelerator Program

Expanding Frontiers’ Accelerator Program helps early-stage ventures thrive with expert mentorship, strategic support, and weekly tag-ups. Open to founders from all backgrounds, this program empowers innovators across disciplines to launch impactful ventures in space and deep-tech.

Internship Opportunities

The Space Internship program allows participants to work with entrepreneurs, engineers, and other professionals on active projects in the space industry. Participants are also provided with the necessary training to meet the demand in the emerging commercial space sector and interrelated fields.

2025 Space Tech
Expo & Competition

The ExF Space Tech Pitch Competition enables aspiring entrepreneurs to present their innovative business ideas—many based on NASA technologies—to a panel of top industry leaders, investors, and experts. This competition provides a platform for startups to gain visibility, feedback, mentorship, and potentially non-dilutive seed funding to help their ventures take off. Many of the presenters will be recent graduates of the NASA Tech Trek Power of ExF program.
